She may be a first rate killer, but when it comes to Kirika's social skills blood out of a stone springs to mind. Kirika's personality goes way beyond shyness almost to the point of recluse-ness. It's a rare sight to see Kirika express her feelings and emotions. For the most part she comes across as an unemotional and often confused porcelain doll of sorts.

Kirika's state of being can almost certainly be attributed to her amnesia, the cause of which is also unknown. She remembers nothing of her past aside from waking up one day in her bedroom. Her parents are fake and so to is her identity...and so begs the question - who is she?! She can kill effortlessly but doesn't know how or why. And when she is forced to kill she can not cry. Kirika is incapable of feeling any form of pain, remorse or sorrow for her victims. Without Mireille's help in guiding her towards her destiny, Kirika would remain forever a lost soul.

Mireille has the looks most girls would die for, rather ironic considering her profession. She is a ray of light, in her own calculating way, and is hopelessly addicted to window shopping, that said she can occasionally be more than a little cutting. Her parents were murdered during her early childhood days in Corsica which understandably left her emotionally scarred. She was then exiled to France along with her Uncle Claude as the death of her parents signaled the decay of the Bouquet syndicate and its dominion over Corsica.

With only her Uncle Claude to care for her, Mireille learnt how to fend for her self from an early age, especially given Claude's line of work. When Mireille reached adulthood Claude moved on. It is at this time that Mireille decided to follow in her Uncle's footsteps thus carving out a living for her self in the shadow world. Years later Mireille established her self as a reputable hit man under the alias of 'Noir'. Only later is Mireille to understand the true meaning of that very word and how it means so much more than black in French.

As if Kirika wasn't bad enough, Chloe is even worse...that is her personality. Chloe's skills as an assassin are top notch and even surpass those of Mireille, but when pitted against Kirika she can't quite compete. Chloe's personality, however, is more than a match. She is impossible to talk to for if she does speak then it is only ever in riddles or whispers containing half truths at best. Indeed Mireille is driven close to madness on the few occasions when she is required to converse with both Chloe and Kirika at the same time.

Chloe spent most of her youth at Altena's manor training under the watchful eye of her beloved mistress. As such it's no wonder that Chloe finds it hard to deal with anyone besides Altena due to her sheltered upbringing. Despite her lack of social skills, however, Chloe is a deadly assassin who's quick on her feet and is incredibly patient when stalking her victims. Though when her anger gets the better of her, Chloe's graceful style becomes ragged and rage driven.

Altena is an extremely determined individual, so determined is she to achieve her goal of instigating La Grande Retour that at times she seems fanatical in realising her goal. Her reasons for bringing about La Grande Retour, however, are questionable. It is unclear as to whether Altena is merely using La Grande Retour as a means to promoting her self within the ranks of Les Soldats.

Altena is also completely and utterly devoted to Chloe, and in particular to her development. On the surface at least Altena appears to care a great deal for Chloe, yet it is uncertain whether her devotion stems from her need of Chloe as a pawn in her power struggles with the other factions within Les Soldats. In any case, Altena has a commanding presence over Chloe; she is Chloe's puppet master. And Altena's influence doesn't end there, indeed she commands the allegiance of many a Soldat, and all this she achieves from the safety of her manor retreat.
