Recommended Viewing: Writing guides is very time consuming, there are many great Anime titles, old and new, available on the market these days that I'd love to write about but know that I never will. That, coupled with the fact that people are always asking me to recommend other decent Anime, has lead me to create this section. The list below contains suggestions for other Anime titles worth seeking out with reasons as to why they're worth a glance. Though there are many online vendors, AnimeNation is a personal affiliate of mine that I would like to recommend. I'll freely admit that I make 8% commission on any sales from AnimeNation through Guide To... How can I buy Anime from AnimeNation? If you're looking to purchase an Anime title and would like to support the hard work and effort that goes into Guide To... then please feel free to purchase from AnimeNation via the links provided below. Whenever you visit AnimeNation via one of these links, or via the affiliate button at the bottom of this site, and make a purchase, 8% of your hard earned cash is sent to Guide To... I therefore greatly appreciate any purchases made in this manor as the money goes a long way in paying for the hosting costs involved in bringing you this site. Ghost In The Shell 2 - Innocence |
Ghost In The Shell is simply a masterpiece, it is absolutely brilliant...a milestone in the Anime world. The animation is gorgeous and the film boasts a rich plot too. If all you want is mindless action and mayhem then Ghost In The Shell is not for you, however, those seeking an adult approach to Anime will not be disappointed. Note that this is not a beer and curry flick, you need your brain switched on for this one. |

Ghost In The Shell 2 - Innocence is the much anticipated sequel to the original classic Ghost In The Shell. Innocence continues where Ghost In The Shell left off and delves into a more sinister world where the divide between human consciousness and artificial intelligence is blurred. Innocence is even more lavish that its predecessor and its story even more complex with an "is it real" element at its core. Buy this one and you'll find yourself re-watching it over and over trying to understand the mind warping viewing experience. |

Ghost In The Shell - Stand Alone Complex |
Ghost In The Shell - Stand Alone Complex 2nd Gig |
Ghost In The Shell - Stand Alone Complex is a stunning series comprising of 26 episodes. The series has little to do with the film i.e. Ghost In The Shell, however, Ghost In The Shell - Stand Alone Complex does bring back all the main characters from the original film. The series itself is absolutely brilliant. Visually it is excellent, Anime as it should be animated, and the plot, although at times hard to follow, is superb. This is a very grown up piece of Anime and is definitely worth viewing. Please note that it is listed in AnimeNation as the Ghost In The Shell TV Series. |

Ghost In The Shell - Stand Alone Complex 2nd Gig sees the return once more of section 9 as they struggle to deal with terrorism and the underhanded politics of their own government. As with Ghost In The Shell 2 - Innocence, 2nd Gig follows on seamlessly from its predecessor and, although is still being released in the UK, promises to be an even greater viewing experience. I can't fault the Ghost In The Shell product line at all as it's just too good - simply stunning! |

Ninja Scroll |
Ninja Scroll is an epic beat 'em up classic which all other Anime films of said genre aspire to emulate. Although it's getting on now, Ninja Scroll still looks fresh to this day, the quality of animation is great, the fight sequences spot on and there's even a half decent story line to string it all together. There have been many titles whom have tried to follow in Ninja Scroll's foot steps over the years, including a spin off TV series, however, none have quite managed to compete with this gem of a veteran. |

Paranoia Agent |
Paranoia Agent will mess with your head and keep you guessing at every turn. It's dark, disturbing and twisted to the extreme, yet no matter how many strange turns this mini series, comprising of 13 episodes, takes it remains compelling viewing all the way through - a bit like a dead scary horror film which you can't divert your eyes from. For those with a keen interest in head f### Anime this is an absolute must. For those with a fragile disposition avoid like the plague. |
